Pulmonologist
Dr. Yoana Chausheva is a pulmonologist in Sofia with over 8 years of medical experience. Her clinical and research interests are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive pulmonary diseases (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – COPD, bronchial asthma), inflammatory lung diseases, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, and obstructive sleep apnea. The main areas of her practice include: pulmonary function testing and interpretation of imaging studies. Dr. Chausheva does not examine children.
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2017. She obtained her specialty in Pulmonology and Phthisiology in 2026.
• Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, the Bulgarian Society of Pulmonary Diseases, and the European Respiratory Society;
• Active participation in national congresses, scientific meetings, and seminars in the specialty.
Currently, Dr. Chausheva is part of the team at Alexandra Health Medical Center and UMHAT "St. John the Baptist" Sofia. She speaks English.
